Mew Lake
May 8th-13th

Good old Mew Lake is always open, so if there's an early start to camping season it can be the place to go. There was still some snow on the ground but here we were camping in site #97, arguably radio-free but the campground and all of its sites are so weensie that there are no guarantees. Anyhow, it's a place to stay at night while you enjoy the spectacular hikes in Algonquin.

The 9th dawned clear and reasonably warm. We hiked the Two Rivers trail and Bat Lake.

The next day was even better. Booth's Rock and Beaver Pond.

The 11th continued warm so we decided to tackle the Track and Tower trail. There were a few dodgey spots involving glaciers on the way back.

May 12th. Weather is still cooperating, so off to the Centennial Ridges.
